Identity Safety
Although there is no specific definition for identity safety, it is extremely important to ensure that you are keeping yourself safe when using the internet. You need to be sure that your personal information secure and protected. Criminals often use online information to steal other people's identities or find out other private information. Many websites seek out personal information, and you need to remember who has access to that information. Everyone needs to remember who has access to their information when putting an address, social security number, or credit card information on the internet.
Safety/Legal Issues
Many innocent internet users have had their identities stolen by allowing too much personal information to be accessed online. We must be wary of putting even simple information such as full name, gender, age, address, picture, phone number, or current locations. With all of the social networking websites in existence, strangers are able to access information about almost anyone.
