THE SAFETY & LEGAL ISSUE
By participating in online piracy and plagiarism students and or participants do not construct their own intellectual ideas and formulations and steal from those who have. Those people who pass off free software, data, or content always have something to gain, they may be passing of viruses or malicious content to gain access to your computer and vital information. If convicted of illegal online piracy and plagiarism, one can face consequences equal to any other kind of theft, in upwards of $250,000 in fines or jail time. Methods of controlling piracy and plagiarism, like SOPA, are being debated, be aware of these issues and their relevance to you and your community.
